Alexandra Drive Whole House Refurbishment
This project involved extensive repairs and improvements to a detached Victorian villa, including a partial conversion to create a seventh flat. Works included major strip-out, structural alterations, full electrical and plumbing renewals, heating installations, and new kitchens and bathrooms, delivering modern, compliant homes while preserving the building’s character.
The heritage nature of the Victorian villa presented significant technical challenges, requiring careful coordination to preserve original features while delivering modern upgrades. Structural alterations were undertaken within tight constraints, with limited tolerance for intrusive works. Integrating new electrical, plumbing, and heating systems demanded precise planning to meet current standards without compromising the building’s historic fabric or architectural integrity.
The project successfully delivered an additional high-quality residential unit while enhancing the overall condition of the building. Modern services, improved layouts, and upgraded kitchens and bathrooms have increased comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. Careful workmanship ensured the Victorian character was retained, resulting in compliant, desirable homes that add long-term value for both residents and the client.
